"During my first year at Genesis, I wanted to try something new but did not know what sport I was going to do until I found out about the Cheerleading Team. Every week when I go to cheerleading practice, I look forward to practicing routines, learning new stunts, having fun with my teammates, and most of all, competing with my teammates at our cheer competition. Being a Genesis Cheerleader is a great way to meet new friends and get involved in the Genesis school community." - Katelyn Rutigliano '30

"Last year, when I started at Genesis, I tried something new – playing the snare drum in the percussion section of the band. Being a part of the band has shown me how to expand my ability by reading many varieties of music and also learning many new notes to make our band great and sound excellent! My teachers - Mr. Pasipanki and Mr. Randazzo - have kept me on a fun journey while expanding and improving my ability to play amazing music. Over the last two years, I have developed a new appreciation for how music is created and performed!" -Giovanni Temperino ‘29

"Here at Genesis, not only are my classes interesting, but learning is fun! One of my favorite classes is Literature, a class that has helped my writing and speaking skills greatly improve. This is all thanks to the way that we are taught and assessed – our teachers engage us in our learning with great lessons, activities, and projects. Whether creating a film to demonstrate my understanding of a chapter or writing a newspaper article about an event in a book that I read, I am often exposed to great ways to increase my understanding of what I’ve read. I look forward to learning more at Genesis!" -Ryden Eschrich ‘29

“Xaverian has made my understanding of religion stronger — religion class has helped me deepen my knowledge of the Bible and the morning prayer and the daily Angelus have enhanced my bond with God. Overall, Xaverian has strengthened my connection with God as well as advanced the understanding of my faith as a Christian.” - Emma Semizian ‘30
